Digital workflow

From digital impression to finished prosthetic

01

Scanning

Send us your STL/DCM file from your intraoral scanner, or send us the physical impression for digitisation at our laboratory.

02

Digital design

We design the restoration with Zirkonzahn.Modellier. If you wish, we send you the design for approval before milling.

03

Precision milling

We mill dry or wet depending on the material, using the Zirkonzahn M1 Wet Heavy Metal. The result: high-precision marginal fit.

* Compatible with virtually all intraoral scanners and digital impression systems available. If you have questions about compatibility with your equipment, contact us before sending.

Our equipment

World-class Zirkonzahn technology

Zirkonzahn is the Italian reference manufacturer for CAD/CAM systems in high-demand dental laboratories. We use their complete ecosystem — milling unit, software and proprietary materials — under the same quality standards.

Milling unit

M1 Wet Heavy Metal

Zirkonzahn
  • 5+1 simultaneous milling axes
  • Automatic 8-fold tool changer
  • Wet and dry milling
  • Orbit with four precision bearings
  • Compatible with all relevant dental materials

The Heavy Metal version of the M1 is designed for milling hard metals such as titanium and cobalt-chrome, as well as the full spectrum of soft materials. One machine capable of processing everything.

Design software

Zirkonzahn.Modifier

Zirkonzahn
  • Design of crowns, bridges and complex frameworks
  • Automatic margin recognition
  • Integrated dental morphology library
  • Continuous flow: scan → design → mill
  • Export in open formats (STL)

Dental design software developed entirely by Zirkonzahn. Native integration with the milling unit for a seamless workflow with no loss of precision in the digital chain.

Clinical indications

What we can mill for your clinic

Coronas y puentes de zirconio terminados fresados en Biohealth Dental Lab

Finished zirconia bridges and crowns — milled on our Zirkonzahn unit.

Zirconia crowns

Multilayer or monochromatic zirconia

Single crowns and bridges with high-precision marginal fit and superior aesthetics.

Lithium disilicate crowns

e.max CAD / glass-ceramic

Maximum translucency and aesthetics for anterior sectors and highly demanding aesthetic cases.

High-performance polymers (HIPC)

HIPC / high-strength polymer

Lightweight and resilient alternative to zirconia for full rehabilitations and long-term temporaries.

Milled full removable denture

PMMA / high-density resins

Greater dimensional accuracy, better fit and exact reproducibility in case of fracture or loss.

Partial removable prosthetic

High-density resins

Milled partial removable prosthetics without metal clasps. Improved aesthetics and 100% digital process.

Implant-supported frameworks

Titanium, Cr-Co, zirconia

Bars, custom abutments and superstructures for implant-borne rehabilitations of any complexity.

Metal frameworks

Cobalt-chrome, titanium

Wet milling of high-hardness metals. Complex geometries without the limitations of conventional casting.

Resins & temporaries

PMMA, laboratory resins

Precision temporaries, study models and guides for implant planning.

Materials

What goes into our milling unit

Material Process Indication
Zirconia Dry Crowns, bridges, implant frameworks
Lithium disilicate Wet Anterior crowns and high aesthetics
HIPC / Polymer Dry-Wet Full prosthetics, full arch
PMMA / Resins Dry-Wet Temporaries, removables, models
Cobalt-chrome Dry Metal frameworks and bars
Titanium Wet Implant abutments and superstructures
Glass-ceramic Wet e.max, high-aesthetic crowns
Sinter metal Dry Pre-sintered frameworks

We mill both dry and wet depending on the material, optimising the process for each indication.

Discos de zirconio con coronas y puentes fresados en Biohealth Dental Lab

Zirconia discs with milled crowns and bridges, ready for sintering.

The difference for your clinic

What changes when you work with CAD/CAM

01

Fewer intraoral adjustments

Digital milling eliminates the variables of manual processing. Restorations arrive with consistent, reproducible marginal fit — significantly reducing chair time for trials and adjustments.

02

File stored permanently

Every design is archived. If a patient loses or breaks their restoration, we can reproduce it from the digital file without new impressions.

03

No change to your workflow

Compatible with virtually any intraoral scanner you already use. Send us the file as you would to any digital laboratory — we do the rest.
